Indemnity Benefits Plan VS ACA Insurance

What is the Affordable Care Act?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) provides coverage to individuals and families who do not have access to employer-sponsored insurance and/or are not eligible for government programs.

These include doctors' services, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, prescription drug coverage, pregnancy and childbirth, mental health services, and more.

What is an Indemnity Plan?

Indemnity Plans pay set-dollar amounts for care, no matter what the provider charges. If the cost for care is less than the indemnity benefit, insureds keep any difference. Subsequently, if the cost for care is more than the Indemnity benefit, insureds are responsible for any remaining costs.
